Tanya Ling is an artist who bridges the worlds of fashion and fine art. She studied at Central Saint Martins, working in Paris as a designer before moving back to London to open an art gallery with her husband, William Ling. Known for her fashion illustrations, she has worked with prestigious clients like Louis Vuitton, Selfridges, and Vogue, while also creating her own ready-to-wear collection.Ling's artistic practice has evolved towards abstraction, drawing inspiration from her fashion background. Her works blend fashion's dynamic energy with the fluidity of abstract art.
In 2011, the Victoria and Albert Museum acquired over 50 of her drawings, and in 2014, Damien Hirst acquired several of her paintings and sculptures for his personal collection. Her recent abstract work continues to explore the intersections of art, fashion, and personal expression, offering a fresh take on visual storytelling.
