Günther Uecker

Günther Uecker is a German artist internationally known for his nail reliefs and installations. Since the 1960s, he has shaped the postwar avant-garde as part of the ZERO group. In his works, he uses nails arranged in rhythmic structures on wooden surfaces, turning light, shadow, and movement into integral elements of the artwork. Uecker’s pieces combine material precision with poetic impact, inviting an intense perception of space, surface, and light.
